Save The Republicans

I am not sure how many of the people on here are Rush fans, but I have been a ditto-head most of my life. For anyone out there not aware of the situation here is what is up. Rush encouraged people in Ohio to switch parties and vote for Hillary (which is what the dems did to us in the early primaries and that is why we have McCain) Well, the plan was very successful and now the dems are bringing out their crying towels. Sobbing to the media that what we did wasn't fair.

Now Cuyahoga County has threatened to press charges against Rush and the republicans that switched parties to vote democrat. What is KILLING me is that so many people are missing what is ACTUALLY happening. The media is trying to scare republicans in other states that still haven't had their primaries to not switch parties and vote for Hillary. Not a single member of the media has brought out that Cuyahoga county really can't do ANYTHING to the swing voters or to Rush.

Needless to say where I live people are writing into the paper how that Rush and Sean Hannity should both be charged with Voter Fraud and blah blah blah. No one seems to realize that what the Ohioans and Rush did is completely LEGAL in the state of Ohio and all over the country for that matter. Every state is different, but as long as you follow the date restrictions you can change your party anytime that you want and in the state of Ohio you can change your party the DAY that you vote. People change parties all of the time. No one has the right to deny you the option to change parties and THAT is what is driving the liberals insane. For once the republicans fought back and beat them at their own manipulitive game and so typical of a democrat, they are whining and crying like a bunch of kindergarteners.

I agree Mel. The whole thing is ridiculous. Of course, now anyone who did cross over is afraid to even say they did, for fear of some sort of legal action. Rush said the other day that he would still broadcast from jail.

This is just another attack on freedom of speech, and taking away our liberties. I think that it is too early for the Dems to take action against those that crossed over. My prediction is this:

They will wait for the general election. When McCain wins, they will review all of the "registered" demcrats that voted for McCain and then try to claim that the whole election was a fraud and those registered Dems that voted for McCain should not count.

Of course, because McCain is liberal, he will likey get lots of democat votes, especially if you are a Hillary or Barak supporter and your candidate loses and is not the nominee.

I think it would be extremely hard to try and prosecute all of those people for voter fraud, but after the chaos of the last two general elections, I would not put ANYTHING PAST THEM!

How typical of a democrat. If you don't win, you piss and moan until everyone feels sorry for you. I think that is where republicans fall short. We need to wench just as much as they do. Maybe then we would get some more attention and win over this generation. The reason why so many people my age are liberals is because they don't actually KNOW what the democratic party stands for. It is about time that republicans start letting young people know what they are voting for. No one likes high taxes, no freedom, and socialized crappy service. We need to get the word out! I just get tired of arguing with them. Like my mom said, "It's like trying to bail out the ocean with a spoon."

This has has been going on for some time, now. Probably since the dawn of founding. But, I used to listen to Kim Peterson "The Kimmer" out of Atlanta. Back in 2000 election, the same situation came up with McCain, of course, taking "crossover" votes against Bush. The Republicans remembered this tactic and took matters in there own hands in 2003. Cynthia McKinney, a freakin', fruitloop, out of control Congresswoman from Decatur, Georgia had to be taken out. And she was because of the GOP. Remembering the tactic, in non-presidential year, they almost all changed parties. She was a shoe-in with 75% Dems on her side. Whoops. Not so fast. When you play with fire, you're going to get burned.
