What happened?
POWER! That's what.
1994. The latest revolution. Congressional candidates as well as Senatorial candidates took to the streets of this land and brought the American people back into the process governing.
By offering the "Contract With America," the GOP successfully nationalized the elections and gave the American people as a whole, something to vote for. Hope. Hope that once again, government will be reigned in and responsibility will be back in the hands of the people.
Just over 10 years later, the Republican Party that revolted is almost nowhere to be found. Well, they're still there. They are just in Washington.
The problem with being the party that stands for less government from Washington, is that they have to govern FROM Washington. And the longer they stay, The less they remember why they were put there in the first place.
So, what's the answer? That's the purpose of this Social Network. We are asking that if you care about the once great party of less government and more freedom, join us in rediscovering what it takes to start a revolution. One that is more localized. One that is for the heart and soul of the Republican Party.
Together, with this grass roots (more like grass-seedling) effort, we can rediscover once again what made this party great and come up with the tough, long-term solutions to keep it that why.
